This Summer Norma School of Languages will be offering 5 weeks of themed Spanish summer programs.
Join
our fun-filled Spanish full-immersion summer programs where children
will learn practical language through songs, games, crafts, art
projects, science, music, folktales, theater plays, and cooking!
Our daily activities will include:
- Creating an autobiography booklet
- Hands-on art projects and science experiments
- Spanish storytime & folktales
- Playing outdoor games and charades
- Cartoon drawing
- Music and acting lessons
- Yoga and dancing
- Cooking and learning about Hispanic cuisine
Location: TBA Encinitas, Ca, 92024.
Grades: Kindergarten – Fourth Grade
Times: 9:00am-12:00pm
Week 1 starts on Monday, July 6th.
Week # 1: July 6th - July 10th
Week # 2: July 13th - July 17th
Week # 3: July 20th - July 24th
Week # 4: July 27th - July 31st

Norma Gersten
Viviana Alvarado
Curriculum Developer/Instructor
Viviana is native to Costa Rica where she lived most of her life. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica and worked as a kindergarten teacher for 2 years. Viviana recently obtained the CA Teaching Credential and will soon be graduating with a Master’s Degree in Education from National University. She has worked as a Spanish Teacher for the past 3 years and absolutely loves it! She specially enjoys sharing her culture and language with her students and learning about theirs. As an artist, Viviana's goal is to write and illustrate bilingual children’s books.
Karla Gersten
Curriculum Developer Assistant/French and Spanish Instructor
Karla obtained an Associate's Degree in French Language and European Studies from Grossmont College and a Bachelor's Degree from San Diego State University in Linguistics. She enjoys incorporating technology, music,dancing, short theater plays, charades, folktales, art projects and cooking to her language lessons in order to make them fun and keep the students actively and creatively engaged.

Program Director/Instructor
Born and raised in Mexico City, Norma attended a French Institution, Liceo Franco Mexicano. She then studied French Literature and language in the University of Arlington, Texas and returned to Mexico City to work for the Alliance Francaise as a language teacher. In 2005, she moved to San Diego and began teaching French and Spanish under a private language school. Norma's extensive experience has lead her to create Norma School of Languages were she offers a meaningful language experience! Viviana Alvarado

Norma School of Languages is a team of five qualified and professional instructors with more than 6 years of experience teaching French and Spanish to students of all ages.
Norma School of Languages offers intensive full-immersion French and Spanish language programs where children learn practical language through interactive lessons and by participating in engaging and age-appropriate activities.
We introduce students to the rich culture and history of the Spanish Speaking world/ or Le Monde Francophone for those taking French.
The mission of Norma School of Languages is to provide an outstanding, personalized, and original curriculum geared to develop and foster the student's four language areas into a complete language immersion.
Our students become bilingual by learning in a natural and dynamic environment that encourages them to be participative, critical,prepared and open for an intercultural dialogue while remaining conscious of their own cultural identity.
Our team of Norma School of Languages also provides one-on-one tutoring lessons as well as group and private French/Spanish lessons for children, teenagers, and adult learners.
Private and Group lessons are tailored to the student's language needs.
