Born and raised in Mexico City, Norma attended a French Institution, Liceo Franco Mexicano. She then studied French Literature and language in the University of Arlington, Texas and returned to Mexico City to work for the Alliance Francaise as a language teacher. In 2005, she moved to San Diego and began teaching French and Spanish under a private language school. Norma's extensive experience has lead her to create Norma School of Languages were she offers a meaningful language experience! Viviana Alvarado

Viviana is native to Costa Rica where she lived most of her life. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica and worked as a kindergarten teacher for 2 years. Viviana recently obtained the CA Teaching Credential and will soon be graduating with a Master’s Degree in Education from National University. She has worked as a Spanish Teacher for the past 3 years and absolutely loves it! She specially enjoys sharing her culture and language with her students and learning about theirs. As an artist, Viviana's goal is to write and illustrate bilingual children’s books.
Karla Gersten
Curriculum Developer Assistant/French and Spanish Instructor
Karla obtained an Associate's Degree in French Language and European Studies from Grossmont College and a Bachelor's Degree from San Diego State University in Linguistics. She enjoys incorporating technology, music,dancing, short theater plays, charades, folktales, art projects and cooking to her language lessons in order to make them fun and keep the students actively and creatively engaged.
